ICNODERM is an innovative company founded in 2013 in the heart of the Sardinia Science and Technology Park, specializing in the formulation of high-quality dermocosmetics. Founded by a group of young graduates in pharmacy and biology, the company is deeply rooted in a passion for skincare and the search for natural and effective solutions. Today, ICNODERM is a dynamic and constantly growing company, boasting consolidated expertise in the skincare sector, with a particular focus on innovation and sustainability.

Our story

Our adventure began with a chance meeting of three professionals with diverse backgrounds, united by the same vision of creating dermocosmetic products that meet the real needs of consumers. Our passion for the skincare industry and the experience we gained led us to develop our company, which is now a well-established and constantly expanding business.

With the contribution of Aicha, an overseas biologist, we have enriched our team with an international perspective, allowing us to explore new ingredients and formulations. Our founder, Marco, brought with him not only solid experience in formulation but also the ingenuity and creativity that have made ICNODERM a company capable of innovating and launching new solutions in the dermocosmetics market.

Marco Zaru

CEO & co-founder

Born in a small town in Sardinia, she graduated in Pharmacy and earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technologies in Cagliari. She then traveled to Greece, where she obtained a European Ph.D. in Advanced Drug Delivery. After years of experience and collaborations with universities and private companies in the R&D of topical formulations, she decided to fulfill her dream and create what is now Icnoderm. She is the brains and backbone of the company, managing and overseeing all its activities.

Alba Cabras

Co-founder

Born and raised in Piedmont, she returned to her homeland at the age of 10. She graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Cagliari and, after years of experience in the biomedical sector, was offered the opportunity to delve into the world of topical formulations, which soon became her full-time career. She took on the role and significant responsibility of managing the company's Production Department.

Nadia Cappai

Co-founder

Born in Germany, she spent her childhood in a small village in the heart of Sardinia. She left to earn a degree in Biological Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Marche, but homesickness soon brought her back to the island, where she worked in pharmaceutical biotechnology before entering the dermocosmetics sector, where she dedicated herself to putting her skills to use. She is the Quality Manager at Icnoderm.

Aicha Ouhtit

Born and raised in northern Morocco, after earning a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Tetouen, she moved to Italy where she studied for a PhD in the development and testing of antiviral drugs. Having lived in Sardinia for several years, she has adapted her skills to a field that has always fascinated her and has become her profession. An indispensable member of the team, she oversees all phases of the company's operations.

Our philosophy is based on the idea that skin beauty comes from the purity and effectiveness of carefully selected ingredients. In our products, we minimize the presence of supporting components such as excipients and additives, favoring instead functional ingredients that guarantee genuine benefits for the skin.
